San Jacinto College Central to host Career Expo 2010

PASADENA – San Jacinto College Central will host Career Expo 2010 on Wednesday, Feb. 17, allowing the public to connect with more than 30 employers from across the Houston region.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Interactive Learning Center Building of the Central campus, located at 8060 Spencer Highway in Pasadena. Those who attend are encouraged to bring plenty of copies of their résumés and dress professionally.

Also, participants may have their résumés included on a CD offered to each employer at the event by e-mailing them to Barbara.bible@sjcd.edu by 5 p.m. on Feb. 15.

Career Expo 2010 is sponsored by the College’s Career and Employment Center, which offers resource materials in résumé preparation, interviewing skills and individual consultation.

    5. Thanks for the questions! If you submit your resume to Barbara Bible at barbara.bible@sjcd.edu no later than Monday, Feb. 15 at 5 p.m., your resume will be included on a CD that is distributed to every company at the Career Expo.

    Companies will be on site from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. to visit with students, alumni and community members about possible positions available with their respective company.

    A good source for finding out what companies are looking for is http://www.myinterfase.com/sjcd/student. The Career Event section in the database has a list of the companies that is always up-to-date.
