Foundation to host 25th Anniversary Gumbo Gala

PASADENA, Texas – The San Jacinto College (SJC) Foundation will host the 25th Anniversary Bill Bailey Gumbo Gala, with proceeds benefiting SJC students.

“Harris County Constable Bill Bailey has generously donated this exciting event to the San Jacinto College Foundation, and we couldn’t be more pleased,” said Susan Arscott, vice president of resource development at San Jacinto College. “All of the money raised from this event will go directly to student scholarships, and we are so thankful to Bill and Janis Bailey for their gift of the Gumbo Gala.”

This year’s event will take place Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Pasadena Convention Center. Individual tickets are just $10 each, or $100 for a book of 10. The River Road Boys will once again be performing great western swing music, and the men and women of Precinct 8 will serve up the delicious gumbo.
