Transfer Day coming to San Jacinto College

PASADENA, Texas – Transfer Day, an annual event that allows current San Jacinto College students to speak with representatives from four-year colleges and universities, will take place Jan. 26-28, 2010, on the College’s three campuses.

Transfer Day is an opportunity for students to speak with admission representatives from four-year colleges and universities from all over the state of Texas. In addition to learning about the requirements and steps to transfer, students will discover information about academic and extracurricular life at each institution. The event is designed to help make the next educational step an easy one. This annual event is sponsored by the student development office.

The schedule for Transfer Day 2010 is as follows:
North Campus
Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010
9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Interactive Learning Center

South Campus
Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010
9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Interactive Learning Center

Central Campus
Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010
9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Interactive Learning Center

Universities scheduled to participate include University of Texas, University of Texas – Dallas, University of Texas – Arlington, University of St. Thomas, Texas Woman’s University, Texas Tech University, Texas Southern University – College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Texas Chiropractic College, Houston Baptist University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, DeVry University, Ashford University, University of Texas – San Antonio, Northwestern State University, University of Houston – Victoria, University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) – School of Health Professions, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center School of Nursing, Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University – Galveston, Stephen F. Austin State University, Sam Houston State University, Lamar University, LeTourneau University, Dallas Baptist University, University of Louisiana at Monroe, University of Houston – Clear Lake, University of Houston – Downtown, University of Houston, and The Art Institute.

San Jacinto College North is located at 5800 Uvalde Road in the North Channel area; San Jacinto College Central is located at 8060 Spencer Highway in Pasadena; and San Jacinto College South is located at 13735 Beamer Road in Houston.
